Something to brighten up the day.

Today needs some brightening, right? At least where I’m at. It’s all gray outside. Reading this made me all happy inside. Remember the reason for Christmas. :-)

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
~ Luke 2:10-12

No mo’ snow.

The title says it all, doesn’t it?

It’s rainy and windy and freakin’ cold, but there is no snow. Just a crummy weather day. These days are perfect to get things done, though – even if that’s just taking a long nap. Although, when I plan to nap, I never am able to fall asleep. Curious.

I am currently doing a couple of loads of laundry, and I also have big plans of wrapping some Christmas presents and doing some editing.

What do you during rainy days? Too often, I’m at work so I’m unable to take full advantage of rainy day benefits. But I like to watch TV, clean up around the place and curl up with a blanket and book.

It’s raining.

And so, so cold!

I’m in for the night. I plan on turning on a Christmas movie (not sure what yet!), writing my Christmas cards and cuddling with the puppy. Oh, and definitely making some hot chocolate! It’s not a cold, winter’s night two weeks before Christmas without some hot chocolate!

And I’m done until tomorrow.

Christmas decorations!

We just finished decorating our Christmas tree! (We being me + Mom + Dad.) It’s so pretty! I love how every ornament has a story, even if it’s a simple bulb we start chattering about when we got it and where. A lot of the ornaments are from my cheer and dance days; we also have a ton of puppy ornaments as each dog gets a new ornament every year. Continue reading this entry »

And pretend that he is Parson Brown …

I’ve got Christmas songs stuck in my head and the Christmas spirit stuck in my heart, my friends! It is certainly “the most wonderful time of the year.” If it ends up snowing tomorrow, I’ll be “walking in a winter wonderland.” (I’ve got a ton more, but I will spare you.)
