I am way too lazy to work out

Considering I’ve once spent around three hours drawing a prototype of a conveyor belt that would travel from my bedroom to the kitchen instead of just getting up to get the damn brownie already, I may have greatly overestimated my willpower to run three miles this afternoon.

Greatly.

But I did, and I feel great, and hopefully this becomes a new trend. I like working out, but I’m just way too lazy. Why run when you can nap? Why lift weights when you can lift cookies?

Today was FABULOUS. I had yogurt with a fresh apple for breakfast, and a HUGE salad for lunch with homemade croutons and chicken slices. I love homemade croutons. For dinner, I had a slice of roast chicken with a biscuit and yellow rice and black beans.

The sun is out *finally* … there is no rain in the forecast for the coming days. And by the end of this week, temperatures are expected to flirt with the 40s.

I’m making this upcoming weekend a ME weekend … so far on my list of things to do for ME:

  • Get the car’s oil changed.
  • Get my hair cut.
  • Buy popcorn and have an Audrey Hepburn marathon.
  • Take an afternoon to go hiking.
  • Order Chinese … AND pizza.
  • Nap.
  • Catch up on my correspondence.
  • Nap.
  • Play with the dogs.
  • Nap.
  • Nap.
  • Catch up on sleep.
  • Nap.

Have a blessed week!

Just found your blog from Day Zero List Makers! Love it. And can I just say you took the words out of my mouth…”Why lift weights when you can lift cookies?”

Hi Stacey! Thanks for the comment. I have so much to look @ re: this 101 in 1001 … I just joined two days ago and feel so far behind! I am definitely VERY lazy when it comes to working out, but I’ve *almost* lost ten pounds and have also committed to running a 10K next July … so I’m having to force myself to get up and get moving. :-(
