101 goals … in 1001 days?
Could I do what taraSG is doing and complete 101 goals in 1001 days (which is just under three years)? I’m not sure. I set goals every year. Sometimes I accomplish them. Sometimes I don’t. But I’ve always been intrigued about pushing yourself to the absolute limit.
One of my favorite Web sites is My50.com, where you can set up an account and keep track of life goals you want to accomplish. You can look at other peoples lists and get ideas if you’d like.

So can I do it? I think I’m going to try. The absolute worst that could happen is I complete none and am in the exact same place in my life three years from now. What’s more likely to happen is I complete a few and enjoy some rich experiences. The best that could happen is a complete transfusion of life.
I have a running list of several goals, but I’m contemplating what makes the list – do I throw caution to the wind and move to England? Do I go on that road trip to the Grand Canyon? Do I get the tattoo? Or do I opt for more personal goals – attend church more often, allow myself to fall in love, remember to floss?
In other news, it’s raining. Again. I hope the flooding doesn’t return to Atlanta – I’m not sure how heavy it’s been down there. It’s been constant where I’m at right now. No trip to the park with the dog, no run … I didn’t even get to run up to Walmart (I guess I could have, technically, but who wants to dodge huge raindrops just to get some popcorn?)
This week just … I’m really, really waiting for midnight to kick off a new week. New attitude, new experiences. Brushing my shoulders off, licking my wounds, and refusing to let people wind me up. I just keep repeating to myself, “You are in control. YOU are in control. You are IN control. You are in CONTROL.”
Signing off for now … the rain is making me sleepy.
Good luck with making your list! I agree, the worst that can happen is nothing
I love the “my50″ website! I’ve been meaning to make a more long-term goal list. Something more like a “bucket list” I guess
